TYPES OF CV USED
There are three levels of CV used at Anglia CV Solutions and three styles of CV, each format differing as required to truly reflect your experience, achievements and salary expectations.
Starter CV
This is a CV intended for students, school leavers, graduates and in general candidates with less than two years experience in the world of employment and looking for a position with a salary of up to £15,000 per annum.
It will clearly demonstrate the candidate’s skills, potential, strengths and with a distinct focus on qualifications as time spent in the workplace will likely be limited.
Professional CV
This is a CV intended for non-managerial careers whereby candidates have established themselves in the workplace and have a solid track record.Generally, a candidate is seeking to assume greater responsibility or progress their career in their chosen field.
It will clearly demonstrate the candidate’s experience to date, accomplishments and achievements but will also have a strong emphasis on showcasing their strengths, abilities and what they specifically have to offer a potential employer.
This style concentrates primarily on the workplace experience and focuses less on qualifications.
Executive/Managerial CV
This is a CV intended for the executive or manager or those candidates who aspire to a management or board level position.
It will clearly demonstrate the candidate’s specific career experience, key attributes and achievements but will also have a strong emphasis on leadership skills, contributions they have made and any accolades attained throughout the course of their career to date.
This style is very achievement focused and will highlight the candidate’s competencies and proficiencies, rather than qualifications attained.
STYLES OF CV USED
There are three styles of CV used at Anglia CV Solutions; the style of CV will invariably depend on the candidate’s experience, career to date and position being sought.
Chronological CV
This style is for the candidate who has a proven career and employment history, which is solid and without any significant gaps.It is intended for those persons who do not have an excessive employer history or changes in career direction.
Functional CV
This style is for the candidate who plans to change careers, is new to the world of work or is contemplating differing career paths. It is very much skill led and can more easily hide any gaps or discrepancies in the employment history.
Chrono-functional CV
It is often necessary to combine the two types of CV to best present the candidate to a prospective employer. It is generally the best choice when a person seeks to pursue a completely different career or would like a smooth transition into a new industry or sector. The combination approach also works well when a candidate has a diverse job history, which doesn’t amount to a solid, clear-cut career path.
