Q: DO YOU REVIEW CV's FOR FREE?

A: Yes, simply email us your current CV and we will provide a brief report on what changes we think are necessary.

Q: WHY DO YOUR COSTS DIFFER?

A: Our fees are structured according to your career level and the salary you aspire to.  Naturally, there is a vast difference in the amount of time and work involved in a top executive CV, when compared to a student CV which will have less content.  However, even the most basic level CV is still guaranteed to receive a minimum of 3 hours work and will include a free, 30 minute landline consultation.  Your CV will get our best attention until you are completely satisfied and you have 7 days to make as many amendments as you need to.

 

Q: HOW DO I PAY?

A: We accept Paypal for all our payment transactions. Simply go to the order page, select your service(s) and make the appropriate payment.  A specialist consultant will then forward a questionnaire to you by email and request this is completed and returned, together with a copy of your most recent CV.

 

Q: WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY UP-FRONT?

A: Payment upfront is industry practise and allows us to begin working on your CV immediately.  By eliminating the risk of bad debt, we are able to keep our costs as competitive as possible. Furthermore, chasing payment can cause frustration and ill-feeling and we want you to recommend us and use our services again when you make your next career move.  Remember, you have a full 7 days to make as many amendments as you feel necessary to achieve the perfect CV

 

Q: WHAT IS THE ORDER PROCESS?

A: Our CV writing service is organised to ensure that you can expect to receive the first draft within 7 working days from receipt of the information requested, unless the express option is chosen.

 

To ensure that we can write a quality CV for you, we operate in the following way:

 

Step 1

Once you have placed the order for our services, we ask you to send us a copy of your current CV and complete our standard questionnaire to help us gather all the necessary information to produce a thorough and professionally written CV.

 

Step 2

We will then organise a consultation to discuss your CV and career history further. This consultation can be done over the phone or simply by email, depending on your preference and availability.

 

Step 3

We will send you the initial draft of your newly written CV. You then have a period of seven days to raise any issues or discuss any changes required.

 

Step 4

Once we have received your comments, we finalise the document and send you your new professionally written CV by email in Word format. We can also post it to an employer directly for a small fee of £2.00.

 

Q: SOME CV WRITING SERVICES ARE CHEAPER - WHY ARE YOUR FEES SLIGHTLY MORE?

A: We specialise in bespoke CVs and assign a CV consultant to you from the outset to best fulfil your needs and requirements.  Our consultant will work with you and can spend up to 10 hours preparing your CV, perfecting its content and tone to best showcase your skills, talents, accomplishments and experience.  If you do get tempted by a cheaper price, please bear in mind it will unlikely be a CV written from scratch and tailored for you, whatever their claims.  Be wary of just how tailor made it will be.  It will likely be a template or a simply re-type and re-format service

 

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

A: We don’t like to rush your CV and prefer to commit the necessary time it takes to perfecting your CV.  We aim to send you a first draft within 5 -7 days for review.  However, we can accommodate express orders for a small additional fee and aim to have the CV ready for review within 48 hours.  If you are really in a rush, we can correct the format, check spelling and grammar within an 8 hour turnaround but bear in mind, we are unable to re-write it within this time.

 

Q: DO I NEED TO COMPLETE ANY FORMS?

A: Yes, in addition to your existing CV and our telephone consultations, we do ask that you complete a questionnaire.  This helps us tremendously in best representing you on your CV; we can never have enough information to work from as we will then select the most relevant points.  It might be considered a hassle but you are paying for a service and it will be worth the investment.

 

Q: HOW LONG WILL YOU KEEP MY CV?

A: We back up all our CV’s indefinitely – just in case you come back to us when you are ready to make your next career move, and we hope you do!

 

Q: WHAT FORMAT WILL MY CV BE IN?

A: All our CV’s are prepared in MS Word and are generally sent to clients via email.

 

Q: HOW MANY PAGES WILL MY CV BE?

A: For student or early career CV's, the document may only be one page long.  However, unless you have contracted a medical or IT CV, it is standard industry practise to create CV's, which are two pages in length.

 

Q: WHAT TYPE OF PAPER DO YOU USE?

A: To create a professional image, all our documents are printed on Conquer Cream Laid, 100g paper and the documents should never be folded!  Always send in your CV unfolded in an A4 envelope.

 

Q: DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?

A: We provide very competitive rates and have substantially discounted our rates for students and all other job seekers to assist you in finding a job, despite the credit crunch.  From time to time we may run promotions or special offers for the unemployed or certain market sector.  Current promotions are always listed.

 

Q: WILL I NEED TO SEE YOU PERSONALLY OR COME IN TO THE OFFICE?

A: No, we undertake all our works remotely via phone or email and occasionally, the post or fax.  We are based in Cambridgeshire but complete works for clients all over the world.  All our work is prepared in English and is tailored towards the UK market.

 

Q: WHAT IS THE SUCCESS RATE?

A: Unfortunately, this is immeasurable as we are unable to track all our customers and their success stories.  We judge our success by repeat business and recommendation.  The majority of our clients accept their CV without the need for any revisions, that has to reflect the skill and experience we have!

 

Q: CAN YOU GUARANTEE ME AN INTERVIEW?

A: As with most things in life, there are no definite guarantees.  What we can say is that we will promote you to the best of our ability and make your CV stand out from the crowd.  Thus, significantly increasing your chances of interview selection; even in these difficult times.

 

Q: IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION SAFE?

A: Absolutely.  We do not pass on any of your information or data to third parties and it is all stored on secure premises.
